Make Money with Affiliate Programs
One of the best books I have read about Affiliate Marketing is
Rosalind Gardner's
Super Affiliate
Handbook. She gives a very clear explanation about how you go
from simply making money to actually building a business through
affiliate marketing.
Lose the Ugly URL
One of the problems with being an affiliate is the ugly URL you
typically have to use. While it can be hidden on a web page,
it is highly visible in an ezine ad.
If you have a web site, you can set up
a "redirect" page that will take care of this problem. Here is the html code I used on
the CBmall site for many redirects:
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Refresh" Content="0; URL=http://www.put-your-affiliate-link-here.com?link=YourID">
</head>
<body>
</body>
</html> |
If you don't have a web site or don't want to use the redirect
method, an excellent solution is available through a service called
NameStick.
Not only does NameStick do an automatic redirect for you, but
they will give you an email address that matches the domain you use.
See a video I
created that explains NameStick.
A cool feature that differentiates NameStick is the fact that they
also give you an email address with the same domain. So you
can run an article or ad and put in your email address as
me@yournewdomain.com, which
makes it really look like this is your business and domain.
NameStick also supports subdomains, meaning you can use the same
domain name to direct traffic to multiple pages. Example:
http://search.cbmalldomains.com sends you to the CBmall search
engine.
http://join.cbmalldomains.com sends you to the CBmall sales
page.
Nice system.
